Samuel Atlas, Esq.

SAMUEL ATLAS, Esq. is an associate of Kirschenbaum & Kirschenbaum P.C. and is part of the firm’s commercial litigation, audit defense and intellectual property departments. Sam specializes in representing clients in the alarm and  healthcare industries, providing counsel in collection and defense matters, as well as with copyright and trademark filings/differentiation dispositions, and infringement issues. He has extensive experience in healthcare audit defense work, and has successfully resolved matters with HealthFirst, MetroPlus, Oxford/United, BCBS and Medicare RAC auditors. Mr. Atlas also specializes in HIPAA self-disclosure and OIG audit defense.  Mr. Atlas has extensive dispute resolution experience, including motion work, arbitration/mediation and trials in New York and New Jersey.   

Sam earned his J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law in 2013 where he served on the school’s Mediation Clinic.  During law school, Mr. Atlas also clerked for the Honorable David I. Shmidt in Supreme Court Kings County and interned for Hepworth, Gershbaum & Roth PLLC in Manhattan. Sam received his Bachelor of Arts in History from Rutgers University in 2010.Mr. Atlas is licensed to practice in New York and New Jersey.
