why read the buy sell articles if not buying or selling  Part 3
*******************
This is the third consecutive article dealing with buy sell issues - that would be buying or selling alarm accounts or alarm business.  If you're not in the market for either buying or selling why bother to open and read these articles.  After all, your time might be better spent holding out for an article on some nightmare scenario that keeps you worried most of the day, like liability to customers and others, financial and employment issues, etc.  I get it, buying or selling isn't on your plate at the moment.
So here's why the articles will be worth reading; you should know about all the issues that have been and will be discussed because they are issues that pertain to your current operation, things you should be mindful of now in preparation for selling or buying.  And, like death and taxes, you will one day be exiting from your company, one way or another.  You should have an interest in what you could do [not what you should have done but now it's too late] to enhance the value of your accounts.  That's on the sell side.
On the buy side maybe you should take a closer look at your growth; that would be growth in overall  revenue and particularly RMR growth.  You can't stagnate because that will mean reduction.  You will suffer attrition; it's inevitable.  Growth comes only two ways, creation cost or acquisition cost.  Sometimes one or the other isn't possible or financially feasible.  But you do need to know your options, and "a well educated consumer ...."   Some ad said that; I forgot who or how it ends.  But you get the message.
You can't have too much information.  What you accept and what you retain and what you use is up to you.  Of course, at K&K we are here for you, so you can let us guide you when needed.
