Ken.
I purchased the All in One Agreement. I’m starting to sell video monitoring now with I View. Do I need a different agreement for this?
Thanks

Both the Commercial All in One and the Residential All in One cover cameras.  That includes cameras that communicate only with a local DVR or NVR; cameras that communicate with the subscriber's smart phone and Internet connected devices or cameras that are professionally monitored and data is stored at the monitoring center. So you don't need a separate contract.

auto renew in New Jersey
********************
Ken,
The contracts I used before buying yours have a term of three years with auto renewal of three years unless written notice is given 30 days before the term ends. Are these contracts enforceable in NJ or must it be month to month unless a new agreement is signed? P.S. no notice was given to the subscribers that the term was about to auto renew.
Regards,
Ryan

New Jersey didn't have a law affecting automatic renewal of alarm contracts, but there was legislation introduced that would govern the provision. I don't believe the proposed legislation has been enacted into law. Therefore, presently the automatic renewal clause for 3 years in your contract is enforceable without notice. Any state that does enact laws dealing with automatic renewal will not permit more than month to month renewal without some notice. I think it's better practice to have a term [the Standard Form Agreements have 5 years for residential and 10 years for commercial] and then month to month renewal. One exception is Pennsylvania where the renewal language is in the contract, so the automatic renewal is 3 years.
It's likely that a contract already signed before an automatic renewal law is effective will remain enforceable, at least until the next renewal after the law is effective, it's not worth taking the chance.  Most alarm companies do not comply with the notice provisions, thereby jeopardizing the enforcement of the renewal clause.  The month to month will be enforced.
