   The end of the year is quickly approaching. If selling this year, or buying, is on your mind then now is the time to get moving. Deals don't happen over-night. Three or more months from deciding on buying or selling, due diligence, contracting and closing, is not a long time; it's the right amount of time. Too much time is usually a recipe for problems either during and after the deal has closed, if it ever closes. Too less time and due diligence may suffer and mistakes are made. So, no better time than right now.
   If you are thinking about selling you should be advertising; it's the only way to know you have given the market an opportunity to find a fair market value for your business and accounts. Sure, out of the blue crazy offers, some too good to be true, and they are, sometime are made; take it and run if you can. But most deals will be found, agreed upon and close the old fashion way, a negotiated fair value deal for both sides.
