Responsibility for communication and power

Responsibility for communication and power
*************************
Ken;
          I have an idea for you new contracts. Many years ago when telephone communications was the real link to central station, in your contracts the end user was responsible for telephone service along with ac power.
          In today’s world telephone lines have no real value except in rural areas. I think it’s time to modify and make again the end user responsible to the radio communication link. 2G, 3G, 4G LTE is hard to sell as an upgrade when you are receiving recurring.
          I think it should be 100% clear who is responsible, the end user.
The technology is constantly changing.
Just a thought.
George

          It’s a good thought and I am happy to tell you that K&K already has you covered, pretty much no matter how old your Standard Form Agreement is.
          While the All in One agreements may refer to telephone lines these Standard Forms clearly refer to and encompass all forms of communication as well as power to the system.  I believe the K&K contracts have, since the beginning always made this clear.  More recently, say 5 to 10 years ago, the Standard Form Agreements added provisions making it clear that end of life and obsolete equipment was not covered by warranty or Repair Service Plan and was entirely the responsibility of the subscriber.
          The Standard Form Agreements make it clear that the subscriber is responsible to maintain the system, keeping it working [or pay for monitoring anyway even if it’s not working] and responsible to provide a communication pathway and power to the system, neither of which the alarm company is responsible for.
