Question:
If a security system is sold that includes monitoring and service, are you saying that you must get THREE contracts signed. I don't know many customers who would sign three contracts to purchase an
alarm system. Is there no way to consolidate these? (I have never seen a company with two contracts, much less three.)
Jerry

Answer:
Actually there are more than the 3 contracts that would be signed.  Sales; monitoring; service; and the 3 way monitoring contract provided by the central station (assuming you sub that work out).  You would be signing those 4 contracts as well, and in addition the Installer contract (or Dealer Contract)
with your central station - but that contract only gets signed once, not each time you sign up a subscriber.

I don't know what you have experienced, or where your business is for that matter, but use of the contracts I described is customary in the industry.  I can offer you a single contract that has sales, monitoring and service in one form, but I don't recommend it because its harder to work with when not all the services are provided.

A good salesman will have no problem getting all the contracts signed.
