The last remaining piece of deliverable they owe me is my 2025 business and personality taxes returns. I have called them multiple times and sent direct messages through their online platform and just keep getting the runaround and have since october/november of last year. I just need my taxes filed and to figure out where the money is that they withdrew incorrectly from my business bank account. Nobody seems to either want to answer or know the answer. I intend to formally notify them in some manner, but I would like guidance, if you can provide it on how best to do this. They offer sort of an accountant as a service model. They handled my payroll and monthly books, as well as my annual taxes for the business and personally. I am not certain that I've ever seen anybody's signature reference they are a CFA, but I have to imagine they at least have someone on staff that is. Thanks, Joe ************************* Response ************************* It's not easy to separate yourself from professionals you have utilized for many years, whether most of those years went smoothly or you've been tortured from the start of the relationship and just grinned and beared it. Accountants are a special problem because their work is always involved the span of months if not years and deciding when to cut bait is difficult. It might depend on your level of tolerance for pain or, as in your case, you really have no choice at this point. You can file complaints with the company owners, license agencies, and CPA oversight AHJs; but you still need to find a new accountant. There's no good time, so do it now. You will find recommended accountants on The Alarm Exchange in the Financial Service category.
