PRINTING THE RESIDENTIAL ALL IN ONE
**********************
Ken,
I have had the chance to go through all of the contracts and forms contained in my purchases, and have customized them to my specific services and included my logo, and am very pleased with the results.
I'm writing to ask how do others utilize these contract forms?  I was planning to print the residential forms in 2-part forms (with the exception of the Cancellation Form which would be 3-part.)  I got the below query from my printer...  is her explanation of how she would print the residential forms how you envisioned the forms (especially the Security Agreement) being used on a daily basis?
"All of them are easy except for the Security Agreement. I am waiting on a specialized quote on that one.  The first page needs to be a duplicate but the next two pages can be single (all the definitions and warranty verbiage can be left with the customer but you do not need those in the file) and then the last page (4) needs to be a duplicate. This would be an 8.5” x 14” form with a stub at the top and 6 parts.  Part 1 and 2 would be NCR paper so that the signature etc. would transfer to part 2. Part 3 and 4 would be bond paper and left with the customer.  Part 4 and 6 would be NCR paper and one copy left with the customer. Do you think this would work for you?"
As far as the Commercial forms go, we will print and use those as needed and just make copies for the clients as needed.
Please let me know - I want to go ahead and order the printed Residential forms, but wanted to ask you first before I spent the money to order them.
Sincerely,
Mark

Not sure how everyone gets the forms printed but there is at least one printer on The Alarm Exchange in the Miscellaneous category that has experience with printing the forms.  You can see that printer's website at MonitoringContracts.com.  What I do want to make clear is that you need to retain a complete copy of the form agreement as executed, not just select or signature pages.

RENEWAL TERM IN FIRE ALL IN ONE
**************************
Ken,
I was looking at the Fire Alarm Contract and I noticed it renews month to month rather than at the same number of years as the initial term.  Why is that?  In Florida my understanding is the month to month laws / rules only apply to residential subscribers.
Thanks,
Greg

Florida's automatic renewal statute does apply to "consumers" only and that does not include businesses.  https://www.kirschenbaumesq.com/article/2010-fl-als-58-2010-fla-laws-ch-58-2010-fla-hb-751
However, even in those states that do not have automatic renewal statutes the Standard Form Agreements [which include Commercial Fire] all have automatic renewal provisions for month to month.  Of course you can change this on your form once you have it.
Why do we have renewal month to month?  Every statute that restricts or prohibits automatic renewal, as of now, exempts month to month renewal.  The likelihood is that any new similar statute will contain the same exemption, which means your existing contracts will not run afoul of the automatic renewal statute.  Also, keep in mind that the commercial all in one forms [Commercial Fire All in One and the Commercial Security All in One] are for 10 years.  Sure, that too can be changed by you.
In Florida your commercial agreements can have automatic renewal for a term exceeding month to month.  I don't recommend trying for "a like term" or "10 year term".  I think you'll have enforcement problems, at least on the collection side.
