Not all of you are familiar with the device or the service. This was called to my attention by a DMP Dealer, and DMP makes the device. There is at least one other manufacturer and one alarm dealer who has trademarked its own device. Cellular jamming detection has become a real product category in the alarm industry, particularly because a cellular communicator can be defeated if a burglar uses an illegal RF jammer. Be careful touting or describing the service because, like the other alarm devices, it’s designed for detection, not prevention. Manufacturers / products 1. Digital Monitoring Products (DMP) , JamAlert™ This is probably the clearest product for a traditional alarm dealer. Introduced in 2025, JamAlert monitors a broad spectrum of cellular frequencies for jamming and provides relay outputs that can be connected to a control-panel zone. DMP states that it can work with DMP panels as well as other manufacturers’ panels. Some important features are: monitors cellular frequencies for jamming; reports a detection to the alarm control panel; provides NO/C/NC relay outputs; has wall and case tamper detection; can operate from the alarm panel or a separate 12V supply. 2. DGA Security Systems , JamGuard™ DGA offers JamGuard as a service rather than simply a detector. DGA says its proprietary system looks for anomalies in signal traffic or spikes in RF frequencies that can indicate a nearby jamming device. DGA combines detection with its monitoring service and says a monitoring agent initiates a law-enforcement response upon activation. It can also be installed as a standalone system independent of the customer’s existing security system. 3. Cellbusters , Zone Protector™ This is somewhat different. Zone Protector continuously scans for cellular and user-selected RF transmissions and can generate an audible or visual alert, silently log activity, or activate a relay. Cellbusters expressly states that the product itself does not jam signals. DMP’s JamAlert is probably the closest fit to a conventional alarm-system add-on, because it functions essentially as another detection zone connected to the alarm panel. The Standard Form Agreements have been updated to include this device and service. ************************* STANDARD FORMS Alarm / Security / Fire and related Agreements. click here: www.alarmcontracts.com *************************** CONCIERGE LAWYER SERVICE PROGRAM FOR THE ALARM INDUSTRY - You can check out the program and sign up here: https://www.kirschenbaumesq.com/page/concierge or contact our Program Coordinator Stacy Spector, Esq at 516 747 6700 x 304. *********************** ALARM ARTICLES: You can always read our Articles on our website at ww.kirschenbaumesq.com/page/alarm-articles updated daily ******************** THE ALARM EXCHANGE - the alarm industries leading classified and business exchange - updated daily ************************* Wondering how much your alarm company is worth?
