More comment on Managely
****************************
Ken,
I was not sure how to comment on the forum so I thought email may be the best option.
I was really happy to find your articles with other users as frustrated with Managely as I am.  I am a Managely customer as well.  We have been live with Managely since November 2022.  Our implementation started in July 2022.  To start out, we feel we were extremely mislead by our salesman.  We were never told the software was still in testing.  We were told there were many customers live on the platform and loving the features.  Shortly after we went live in November 2022 it was revealed to us that we were one of the first companies to go live on the platform.  We were sold the “pro” version of the software.  The “pro” version of the software was not even ready for release until around February of 2023 (have emails from the lead developer to back up this statement).  In short, we were lied to and fell for their sales pitch
Our implementation process was extremely rushed.  We never received proper training on the software, during our training it felt as though we knew the software better than those attempting to explain it to us.  We had a complete hour of training canceled because the software had too many errors, we were never able to reschedule that training. In December of 2022 we were completely dropped by our implementation team and told we had contact support for all of the issues left from our implementation.   Most of the things we were told they would import from our previous software never got imported. We are still working between 2 CRM platforms because there was so much data lost in the conversion.
To this day we still cannot get a response or direction from the developers on how to integrate Managely with our central station (which uses bold groups monitoring software), something we were told was “easy to do” when we purchased the software.  Most of the features we were told the software had are either absent or do not work properly.  Since switching to the Managely platform we have had more issues than I can even list. We have multiple issues that have been recurring, we are told by the development team that the issues have been fixed only to have the same issue happen again. I have hundreds, possibly even thousands of emails from their support team, developers, & officers within bold group (Alison Forsythe, Julie Lichty). I couldn’t even guess how many support tickets we have submitted. In June 2023 Julie Lichty scheduled a phone call with us so she could hear our complaints, at the end of the phone call she told us she was going to take our complaints to the development team and respond to us with an action plan. We never received an action plan.
Since moving to the platform we have had a major increase in customer complaints about billing errors.  My teams moral is the lowest it has ever been.  I cannot even begin to estimate the amount of money we have lost since we made the move to Managely.  Not including the 1000’s of hour of labor we put in trying to make it work.  I am looking into what options we have to get off of the Managely platform and will be joining your software webinars.  I would be interested to hear what other users are doing about the costly investment they made in purchasing the Managely, and what they are doing about the costly endeavor to get away from this terrible platform.
I truly do not believe this product should be listed on The Alarm Exchange.  I think any advertisement or endorsement of this product is a mistake.
If you have heard anything from Bold Group about their plan going forward to fix this software I would appreciate any incite.
Should you choose to post this on your forum please withhold my last name and company information.
Thank you for taking the time to read.

The Software vendor webinars are starting October 3, 2023; register below.  Managely has been listed on The Alarm Exchange recently and I want to give it a chance to improve its customer service and relations; something we should find out about over the next few months.  Managely knows about the software webinar series and if it decides to present it will be announced in time for you to register for that webinar.
I know for sure that Managely’s top people are now aware of the customer issues and complaints circulated on this forum; I am told they are working on it.
Besides Managely there are a few other new listings on The Alarm Exchange in the category Technology and Services that increase or preserve your RMR including Innovative Business Software and Workhorse SCS.  Apparently there are other software vendors servicing the alarm industry and we may have additional listings soon.  In the meantime, trust that the vendors listed on The Alarm Exchange know that the listing depends on their commitment to their customers, alarm dealers.

Central Station webinars start October 17, 2023
********************
When you have a moment to think about your software working or not working, give some thought to the hot topic of central station operators working from home and whether you think that adds additional risk to your already rather risky life safety business.  You are going to hear from the top central stations in the US; they are certain to discuss this topic and tell you their policy and experience.  I don’t know if you’re going to hear from any central station that admits to a remote work from home operator policy, and is proud of it, but we certainly suspect there are a few who embrace that policy.  This is there opportunity to support the policy and, “come clean” so to speak.  We know not one accepted Jeff Zwirn’s offer to debate the issue.  I think the topic has gone from hot to hotter and it’s not likely going away so the central stations who permit home operators really do need to come forward and tell their story; in particular let dealers [and end users] know what precautions are available and what have been implemented; what added risks have been perceived and what has been and will be done to minimize additional risks involved with alarm monitoring [and I include video and audio as well].
Look for your central station on the list of presenters.  If you can’t find your cs there then maybe you should call and ask what their policy is and why they aren’t participating in the webinar series.  Any cs that is participating is listed on The Alarm Exchange.  These are the best in the industry and they deserve your serious consideration.
By the way, all the webinars will be posted on the K&K website and utube.  You can watch any webinar at your convenience.  Also, dealers, you should be aware that we do not share attendee lists so you won’t be getting any follow up communications from the presenters.  If you are interested in any presenter then you can reach out to them.

Central Stations series: Why You Should Be Monitored By Our CS
Hear from the leading central stations and “Why you should be monitored by” that central station.  The topic of remote operator monitoring from outside the central station facility and the dynamics that issue presents is sure to come up.  The question you need to be asking is why isn’t your central station participating and why are you still using your central station if it’s not participating?
