LOOKING FOR ALARM SECURITY EXPERTS
**********************
Ken,
In my role of Executive Claims Manager for SARRG I am writing for your help, to help the industry at large.
Recently I am having issues with self proclaimed professional experts to further the objectives of the industry best practices, code compliance, witness testimony and the continued acceptance of the contracts such as those you provide at www.alarmcontracts.com
I am accepting resumes for review from anyone on your list who has experience and qualifications from the typical organizations that operate in and around our industry. Prior witness testimony is a plus.
It is my intention to create a pool of industry experts.
Thank you in advance for helping me get my search out there. Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications starting at $150.00 an hour and up.  Anyone qualifed and interested should contact me directly.

RESPONSE

Because the alarm industry faces enormous potential claims when subscribers believe there has been alarm equipment or services failure the defense of claims is perhaps the most important issue challenging the industry.  SARRG does a great job defending these claims and upholding the integrity of the alarm contracts and alarm defense agruments. That can't be said for many if not most of the insurance carriers who have so called alarm programs and write the alarm E&O policies.  Usually it comes down to claims representatives who are familiar with the alarm industry issues and more importantly, and here's the typical breakdown, care about the alarm industry, at least as much as they care about saving their insurance company employer money on the claims.
Bart does a great job administering the defense claims, and of course he should since he's an industry expert too.

WHAT CONTRACT CAN YOU USE FOR HOME AUTOMATION
*****************
Ken
Do I need the Home Automation and Integration Agreement if I have and use the Residential All in One?
Mike

RESPONSE

As a rule of thumb, if you are installing security you can use the Residential All in One to also install the home automation and integration components and systems.
However, if not installing security then the Residential All in One [which is an alarm - security agreement] should not be used and the Home Automation and Integration Agreement would be more suitable.  A Disclaimer Notice would not be used with the Home Automation and Integration Agreement, but is used with the Residential All in One.
Confused?  Our Contract Administrator Eileen Wagda is available to assist.  Call her at 516 747 6700 ext 312.
