The updates are technical adding NFPA specific sections to the agreement, though the agreements are written broadly to permit updates to the regulations and also still recognize local AHJ override. And, the contracts do account for non-compliance when that is what the contract calls for. These are not essential updates that require you to update the contract immediately but do provide more detailed description, by reference, of your services. Note that the updates may test your knowledge of fire alarm code and regulatory requirements by incorporating the relevant NFPA sections that apply to the service; you do need to be familar with these codes since you will now be agreeing to perform according to these requirements [something you were really required to do all along but may not have known the precise regulation that imposed the standard.
