          Several years ago, I entertained the idea of moving central stations to save money. So, I did a 3-month evaluation of a cheaper one by moving 12 clients to them. The process of moving was easy because they all are Alarmnet subscribers.
          What I started to "enjoy" was a subpar experience from the operators when it came to interfacing with my clients, contacts and their employees. It quickly became an exercise on damage control. I even lost 3 accounts because of this. The other clients stayed because I assured them, I would go back.
          For the record, I have used Emergency24 since 2003 and they are on point with their service to my business and my clients.
          I won't do that again.

          Can I know which central he wants to leave..?
          I have been also doing the research to move to a different central; also what issues has he been having? I have a list of about 25 items that is wrong with the one i am with.

          Switching central station is right up there with switching management software to run your business and switching your spouse.  Sometimes it all goes smoothly and other times it can be a most difficult and unforgettable experience.  You can do all the homework you want, and you can have a long satisfying run, but as Bob Dylan said, “things change”, at least they do sometimes.  Your central station may not have kept up with all the available technology, may not have decided to offer all the available central station services or your business may have taken different direction and simply outgrown the central station you started with.  Or, your central station decided that work from home operators works for the central station and you have decided that doesn’t work for you.  You can explore that issue and all the other deciding factors in the dealer – central station relationship during the central station webinars.
          One thing is for sure, and that is that the central stations participating in the webinars deserve your serious consideration, especially if your current central station decided to sit this webinar series out.  All the central stations on The Alarm Exchange were invited to present in the webinars.
          I’m looking forward to the hard questions that I hope will be asked.  I also hope that someone, anyone, will start pointing fingers at the central stations and UL committee members who support, condone or permit work from home operators.
