Not out of malice, but out of a lack of knowledge. I always said EVERY SALES PERSON should be at least NTS LEVEL 1 or similar training. Fully understand the capability of the product you sell. Know the limitations as well as the features. They do not have to be technicians, just understand what your product does. NTS has an 8 hour course UNDERSTANDING Security Systems. That way when they field the customers questions they can answer with true information, not guesses. That makes the installers happier and creates fewer disputes. (Salespersons have been known to promise a fished concrete wall......) One of my former students was hired as a salesperson and became quite successful... Just my two cents.
