My business partner and I are reviewing the Fire Protection All in One agreement and had a question. We see that in the agreement it shows a standard agreement term of 10 years. In short, When are we permitted to increase prices during the term of this agreement based on how it was originally written? Once the agreement is executed, from what I am reading, we cannot increase prices for that 10 year period? Please advise. Regards, Noah ****************************** Response ****************************** The Fire Protection All in One, designed for fire suppression or protection systems [not fire alarms] is designed like the other Standard Form All in One agreements. Commercial agreements with RMR are pre-printed with a 10 year term; residential agreements with a 5 year term. Of course you can change the duration of the agreement original term to any length you want, even more that 10 years, though I don't recommend having a term longer than that. The K&K contracts do permit increases in the RMR over the life of the contract. You can increase up to 9% each year, and, an important feature, the subscriber has already agreed to the increase so no notice is required. The provision is found in the Term paragraph in most of the K&K contracts.
