Thanks, Jarey *********************** Response ************************* The All in One agreements do have a consent to assignment for the alarm company, though it is not required in order to assign the contract. Alarm contracts, in fact all contracts except for personal service agreements [like an entertainer] are assignable unless there is a provision in the contract restricting assignment. The All in One agreements do prohibit the Subscriber from assigning the contract. So why does the All in One specifically authorize assignment? Because too many alarm company owners and, unfortunately too many lawyers representing them, think the consent to assignment is necessary. ************************* Comment on electronic cancellation notice from article on April 18, 2023 ************************** Ken FYI on this one. We use Adobe ESign, just like Docusign. Both programs allow a field to be created in the cancellation form that can calculate a date "plus 3 days" when the document is signed Adobe does as well but the admin user needs to turn it on. The 3-day notice calculation on the form is very handy because we will often email the contracts and a prospective customer will sit on them for a week. So then when they finally sign them, it automatically adds the 3 days date.
