Alan R ********************** Response ********************** The prudent advice was provided in the July 27, 2026 article, the sprinkler company should be moving the valves; at least that's what I get out of the advice. But I don't think it's your responsibility to coordinate the sprinkler company with your fire alarm inspection or service call; it's the owner's responsibility, and this is something you should make clear, in writing, when you schedule the inspection or repair. If you decide to let your tech turn the valve then hope its properly tagged and he knows what he's doing. Be sure to turn it back on when done with test. I'm not an expert on this and I'm wondering what if the problem is with the electrical hard wire connection in the panel. Is that something that you'd have your tech repair? Somehow I doubt it. The K&K Contracts cannot protect you for doing work outside the scope of the contract, and, sadly, cannot protect you from yourself.
