Do I need to post a NYS Labor Law poster at my practice?

Answer:

Dr. S, thank you for the timely question!  Its a new year and its time for new signs!  Each State has its own labor laws, in addition to certain federal requirements.  NYS requires certain posters be in view of employees, and sets forth which are required on the Department of Labor Website. NYS Posting Requirements are available here. 

Notably, NYS has raised (as of December 31, 2013) its minimum wage to $8, so everyone needs a new sign - Available Here AND to adjust to the new minimum wage!! More info on the wage increase available here.

Employers across the board are also required to post Criminal Convictions Records statute available here.
