Did you happen to catch the CNN article targeting Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield for its out of network reimbursement policy a parent is accusing of killing her son?  The argument - that BCBS's remittance of out of network benefits to a patient contributed to his death seems a bit of a reach, but the position and expanded argument highlights the pressure the payment policy of out of network benefits delivered direct to the patient as opposed to the provider creates on the provider looking to recover its fees.  It's not often we see press in support of the provider's plight - figured worthy of mention.  Here is the article in full -
