Zwirn's challenge to debate Konnected's Nate Clark / why the debate
*************************
Ken,
As you know I challenged Konnected to debate my findings and invited Nate Clark to join me at the webinar you are hosting on April 20, 2021 at 12 PM ET.
This was Nate Clarks response on Konnected's Facebook Page regarding my invitation to debate him about his products.
"Nate Clark:  It looks like we are making the alarm industry nervous This was posted to a long running security industry email list this morning. What do you all think? Should I join Jeff in his "webinar" for a debate?"
Ken, I'd like to explain why I reviewed the Konnected product and whey I offered to present a webinar on your forum about the issues and invited Nate Clark to debate the issue, or at least tell his side of the issue.  Here is what I have to say to Nate Clark and to the industry:
*****
Please let me know if you think that the reason for my request to debate Nate Clark about Konnected's products is based upon the professional members of the alarm industry being "nervous" about Konenceted's products. In reality, the reason for my debate request has nothing whatsoever to do with the alarm industry being nervous about Konnected's products. It's about my opinions and findings that Konnected's products are not listed, and further by design they are inherently dangerous.
In my opinion, Nick Clark of Konnected is the one who should be more than nervous based on Konnected knowingly selling "alarm" panels to consumers that do not even meet minimum industry standards. Notwithstanding the foregoing, much of the "technical advice" provided by Nate Clark is just flat out wrong and violates codes and standards.
Nick, you advised that you had "alarm advisers" working with Konnected. If that's true, why in the world are they not warning you that a non-listed alarm panel is not acceptable for an alarm system and/or as an adjunct to any alarm system? Alternatively, if they are telling you that Konnected's products shall be listed, then why are you not heeding their advice?
I am extremely concerned about consumers and others who buy Konneccted's non-listed products whereby they do not have the foggiest idea of its inherent dangers. Compliance to Codes and Standards is not optional nor were they developed by happenstance.
I hope that Nate Clark takes my debate offer seriously, and provides any opposing views that he may have.
