Ken
Looking at the contract order page at www.alarmcontracts.com don’t see a specific contract for gun-shot detection.  Which contract should I be using ?
Thanks and looking forward to seeing you at the South Texas Alarm Assoc meeting in San Antonio, TX on June 11, 2024.

Gun-shot detection sends an alert when gun-fire is detected.  It can be combined with access control, a lock down system.  It also can be augmented with emergency communication throughout a building.
Gun-shot detection is, at its core, a security system; it is easily covered in the Commercial All in One.  The “All in One” in the contract title signifies that it covers all types of security and all of the various services that you would perform when offering those systems and service, i.e., installation, monitoring, inspection and repair service.  Additional services such as administration is also covered.
When using the Commercial All in One you would specify the service in your Schedule of Equipment and Services.  Many of you simply use your proposal as the Schedule, and that’s fine.
The gun-shot detection system and service is included in the Alarm.com Rider, which is to be used as a Rider to the Commercial All in One or the Residential All in One. So if you’re an Alarm.com Dealer use the alarm.com rider.

If you use a gun-shot detection device or service, using Alarm.com or other manufacturer you will be indemnifying the manufacturer, just like you agree to indemnify the central station that monitors the gun-shot and other signals from your subscriber locations.  There are two things you need to do to best protect yourself, not only from customer claims, but indemnity obligations:
  *  Use Kirschenbaum Contracts, in this case the Commercial All in One, and
  *  carry E&O coverage and be sure to name your central station and the gunu-shot manufacturer as an additional insured
