An incentive to move accounts to a participating central station gets you 26 free months monitoring. Cuts your current monitoring charge in half for 52 months. If anyone has that kind of deal please let us all know, because I am pretty confident that historically that huge incentive is unheard of. And, just in case you think there is a catch, there isn’t. Your regular rate will be set pretty much where it is now with your current central station, and it won’t change for 8 ½ years unless your account base changes by 20%, up or down.

Your central station may offer you service that you need; you’re comfortable and so are your subscribers. That’s a business decision for you. This new program does address just one criterion for selecting a central station, price, and there are many other considerations. There are a number of central stations participating in the program and you do have choices; one may be more suitable for your monitoring needs than another. What inspired this new program is central stations selling to another central station, basically selling its wholesale monitoring operation, and the Dealer doesn’t benefit at all [except hopefully a larger and better central station].
