We had to use a different panel (due to supply chain issues) and add some additional sensors from what was on the original contract. Should we fill out the change order form and add it to the contract or just have them sign an entirely new agreement? Thank you, Chuck ******************** Response ******************** The Fire All in One was updated in 2022 to address supply chain delays and inability to get equipment. If your Fire All in One is updated you do have the contractual right to substitute equipment pursuant to the contract and the customer is obliged to pay for the difference. But be careful because your customer is not the only party you need to please. Your commercial fire alarm is likely being installed pursuant to plans and specifications, and a permit and AHJ oversight. You need to get the AHJ approval to make a change in equipment. Assuming you have or don’t need AHJ approval, you can make the change in equipment with the Supplemental Rider which K&K provided when you purchased the Fire All in One. There isn’t a need to get an entirely new Fire All in One signed, though you could [and should if you can upgrade to an updated Fire All in One if you don’t have it now]. ********************* To order up to date Standard Form Alarm / Security / Fire and related Agreements click here: www.alarmcontracts.com *************************** To order up to date Standard Form Alarm / Security / Fire and related Agreements click here: www.alarmcontracts.com *************************** CONCIERGE LAWYER SERVICE PROGRAM FOR THE ALARM INDUSTRY - You can check out the program and sign up here: https://www.kirschenbaumesq.com/page/concierge or contact our Program Coordinator Stacy Spector, Esq at 516 747 6700 x 304. *********************** ALARM ARTICLES: You can always read our Articles on our website at ww.kirschenbaumesq.com/page/alarm-articles updated daily ******************** THE ALARM EXCHANGE - the alarm industries leading classified and business exchange - updated daily ************************* Wondering how much your alarm company is worth?
