“In closing I guess the best advice is that you need to be careful with your hole so other contractors don’t take advantage of you.”
Don't think this comment went unnoticed!

Ken,
Regarding holes used by other contractors.
Plug the hole. Cover the hole. Label it “For Alarm System Only!!  I have to do that whenever I have conduit runs.  Big, bold, and non-removable labels stating “ALARM WIRING ONLY”.
Clearly and easily seen and read.
And if someone does stuff their cables down I track them down to get them to remove what should not be there.

Pelosi’s attacker was not an intruder…he was a guest.  Name withheld as I don’t need the controversy.

Why the politics?  I am sick and tired of everything turning political.

Thanks for sharing this refreshing response. Even though the election did not turn out as hoped I remain hopeful we can stop the insane practices of the democratic communist party …. Headed by Brandon. S

Ken,
I would like to add my thoughts on the alarm system not being set or activated.  I understand many folks when they are home during normal times where family is in and out, they don’t ARM the system.
We have been using Paradox Systems out of Canada and they are sold in 27 countries including South America and Africa.  We have a STAY D - feature whereby the windows and openings which are NOT normally used are armed at all times and only the doors or openings frequently used are controlled by STAY and AWAY features.
If this window at Pelosi's house which I don’t think was opened at all and if this was on Stay D feature, it would have triggered if it had a shock sensor or something.
We also have an auto ARM feature like my residence, my alarm sets at 10:30 PM on STAY.
My two thoughts and I always enjoy your knowledge and read your blog.
Thanks for being part of our industry and happy Thanksgiving!!
Sincerely,
Tony

Talking about politics and alarm customers

Ken;
Hundreds of Alarm-Security people that receive your newsletter protect the homes of Senators and Congress Representatives.
We are working with the Capital Police to make sure everyone is properly protected.  There are about 10 of your readers in the Washington DC Area that take care of their Local homes, then there are another 100 plus of your Readers that protect their state Offices and their 2nd Home State OFFICE.  If your readers contact us, we will send them information about the programs.
Many of the People who were just elected, need to get protected when they move to Washington.  These systems will need to be meet new requirements and will also require video verification of Alarms received. Your readers can get more information by sending me an e-mail.

Good idea.  Elected officials [appointed too] get a budget from the government coffers to pay for security at their residence [apparently when they travel too].  They often look to the agency who is responsible for their protection for suggestions, such as capital police.  Give Dennis a call for leads.
And, if you get the ear of one of our elected officials suggest that Biden’s next handout be for personal security to alarm residences and E-PERS systems, maybe the same budget the elected officials get.
