Area of Refuge contract
***************
Ken,
I checked your site for a contract covering “Area of Refuge” (or “Area of Rescue”) systems, but I couldn’t find one.  I was wondering if you had an “All in One” contract covering these systems that simply wasn’t listed, or if you were developing one?
                Many thanks,
Joe

“Area of Refuse” is actually a safe area in the building, usually the stairwell area on each floor, where a two way communication system is installed.  Since this is almost always required together with the building wide fire alarm system I have included the Area of Refuge System in the Fire All in One.  That form has now been updated.  It’s really just a check box that the system is included in the contract.

If you think the system warrants a separate contract let me know.

I have a signed subscriber who recently changed their operating name. Is there an assignment form for this? Or, do I need to fill in a new contract and schedule and go through the signing process all over?

Name change is highly unlikely.  More likely it’s a change in entity, and if that’s the case then you need a new contract.  You could get the new entity to sign an assignment and assumption agreement, but a new updated contract is better.  If it’s really the same entity with a name change then you don’t need a new contract.
