Q&A- batteries - excluded from service

Question:

Ken,

I was wondering if you should put some kind of clause in all your contracts
stating that battery replacement is not covered for any reason whatsoever
and will be charged for battery only. I know every time there is a
blackout or when there are multiple alarms etc. I have a tough time
charging for the batteries. I personally would like this clause in all the
contracts including lease, and service contract.

Answer:

Both the standard Service and Commercial lease contracts exclude
batteries from the service; the subscriber has to pay extra for batteries.
