The "all in one" contract was created to combine three separate services:sales [which covers design, installation and warranty work]; monitoring;and service [other than warranty work and new installation].The concept is that one contract is less paperwork and more acceptable tothe subscriber.Though I haven't conducted a survey regarding the use of the "all in one",I continue to believe that you are better off with the three separatecontracts. Unless you are dealing with a new subscriber who is signing upfor all the services you will likely find the "all in one" unnecessarilycomplex. When selling your subscriber accounts the buyer will not beinterested in the sales portion of the contract; you would be selling yourmonitoring and service contracts only.I received the following inquiry and thought I would share it and myresponse.

1) how does this contract compare to the separate sales and monitoringcontracts I previously purchased from you?Its "all in one", combining sales, service and monitoring. Though each ofthose separate contracts have common protective provision, each separatelyaddresses the specific service to be performed. The format is not front andback and I don't recommend it unless you are signing up new subscriber forall three services. The separate contracts are easier to use.

2) will/can the a-i-o serve as (replace) the separate Third Party Agreementcurrently required by my contract central? No. Though your central station may not require a 3 party contract if itknows you use my monitoring contract because my monitoring contractprotects you as well as the central station.

3) does the a-i-o eliminate the need to have a completion certificatesigned after the installation and every service call? No. But the completion certificate is not as important if you are using mysales, monitoring and service contracts since those contracts have theprotection you need for the service you are performing.

4) are the contracts supplied in a media format that is ready to beprinted? If so, what size (number of pages, front/back/ 8.5 x 11/8.5 x 14)is the end result? The all in one is at least 3 pages; you will probably have to print inbooklet form which will also leave room for you to design a work sheet.

5) good for use in Ohio? The contracts are in use in all States and Canada.

6) The most common resistance that I get from prospective and currentcustomers is the length and size of the separate contracts&the customerassumes that there is a lot of fine print. I'm hoping to reduce thoseapprehensions by having a single, more inclusive and friendly (if that'spossible) contract. Do you feel the a-i-o contract will help achieve thisgoal? Not really. It's a lengthy contract. You should be able to overcome yoursubscriber's "resistance" with your razzle dazzle salesmanship. If thatdoesn't work mention your superior services and reputation.
