Ken
    Thanks for your thoughts and everybody else.  Have managed to obtain a complete analysis history of this customer since we installed on 10/1/2013 from ADT. Looking in detail and the customer happens to be a  jeweller on the 11th floor and they agreed that the false alarm was the fault of customer.  Have spoken directly with CA Consumer affairs who also agreed that this customer are at fault and they recommend closing the case

Ken,

    In response to Anon's article, in reference to police charging $9,000 for 7 false alarms, I would think this would debunk the argument of false alarm fines being cost recovery. ADT could have dispatched a private security guard 9 times for $225 or ordered the client 9 Domino's pizzas for $180, with guaranteed deliver in less than 30 minutes. With police departments claiming false alarm fines are not a source of revenue, either Cities are this mismanaged, or someone is lying.

    Regarding the California ADT dealer (ANON), it's good that you've contacted Ken, it shows you may want to become a responsible dealer.  I have to ask why wasn't the false alarm problem addressed after the initial incident?  How soon after you were paid for the account did the F/A's begin to happen?  Do you use trained technicians or just bodies off the street who are led to believe they are top rated technicians because they can slam them in?  What training did the customer receive?  What about a QC call?  Do you do that yourself or let ADT handle it for you so you can continue doing business?  And is it me or is there something really wrong with a $9K fine after 7 F/A's.
    If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, I'll bet it's a duck.  Pay the fine and post it as a late educational expense and maybe give the installers a couple of hours of real classroom training and a test to see if they were awake.
Signed;
ANON in Texas
