Additional Form For Alarm.Com
***********************
Ken
I do use “Alarm.Com” services so I think I remember reading that I need another form to go along with agreements?
Thank You,
Lloyd

That's correct.  Your agreement with Alarm.com requires you to incorporate certain provisions [2 pages worth] in your subscriber agreement, or use a Rider to your subscriber agreement.  Because I believe that the Alarm.com terms are different than the terms I recommend in our Standard Form Agreements I recommend using a Rider to the All in One Agreement [residential or commercial].  The Rider is 2 pages and used with your subscriber agreement and it affects only the relationship between Alarm.com and your subscriber.  Remember, by using Alarm.com services you have agreed to use its terms and conditions of service.
When ordering the Residential and Commercial All in One forms be sure to email or call our Contract Administrator Eileen Wagda at 516 747 6700 x 312 to let her know you need the Alarm.com Rider.  There is a small additional charge for the Rider and its integration with the All in One.

NY LAW RE: CARBON MONOXIDE - RESTAURANTS
*************************
Ken
New legislation in New York amends the NYS Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code to create standards for the installation and maintenance  of Carbon Monoxide Detecting Devices for all Commercial Buildings in New York State to include any building that contains one or more restaurants. Just to clarify, the law states that ” the carbon monoxide detection devices are only required if the restaurant or commercial building has appliances, devices or systems that may emit carbon monoxide or has an attached garage.”   The Nassau County and Brookhaven already have laws on the books.
The New York State Fire and Building Code Council will be responsible for creating these installation and maintenance standards for the devices. The effective date is in 6 months. The Law will be named the “Stephen Nelson Law” after the manager of legal Sea Food Restaurant in Huntington NY who succumbed to Carbon Monoxide Poisoning in February of 2014.
I think this legislation will go a long way in protecting the citizen’s of the State from this colorless and odorless gas often called the “Silent Killer” when they visit or work in restaurants and commercial buildings. I feel the Fire and Building Code Council will adopt some if not all of NFPA 720 but we will have to wait and see.
Your readers can contact either myself or JR Mc Cotter at jamesm@briscoeprotective.com, in our technical Services Department, for a copy of the  legislation and they can sign up for our newsletter on our website www.BriscoeProtective.com  for future developments.

For commercial fire be sure to use the Standard Fire All in One.  This agreement however requires you to install and provide services pursuant to AHJ requirements, it doesn't specify what those requirements are.  Unless you are fire certified and know what you are doing Bob Williams and his staff should be consulted; he and they are very knowledgable and helpful, even for competitors.
