Answer: 

Yes!  I love to refer the Office of Inspector General Roadmap for Physicians, available here - https://oig.hhs.gov/compliance/physician-education/index.asp.  Worth a read by all doctors even if you do not accept Medicare or Medicaid - reason being, most states have mirror laws regardless whether you accept Medicare or other insurances. The Roadmap gives an overview of prohibitions related to third party interactions, documentation, coding, kickback concerns, etc.  Take a look and let me know if you have any questions!  Reviewing the Roadmap will give you a great base to preliminarily assess whether certain opportunities pass the "smell test".  Without an understanding of areas of potential exposure, its tough to know the circumstances you need to avoid.  Know the flags, avoid the flags!
