Employee Agreement and non-complete
********************
Ken,
We are now using your All-In-One Agreements and currently looking to purchase the Employee Agreement.  I have a question:  Does the non-complete clause allow us to select the restriction time frame and the geographical area or does it come with a standard?  I am located in Florida if that matters.
 Thank you,
 Paul

Every one of your employees should be signing the Employment Agreement.  Even the most trustworthy; even the one employed the longest; even the one who is walking about without a clue [no, not you].  You just don’t know which employee is going to engage in conduct you believe to be disloyal or improper, if not down-right illegal.
The Employment Agreement will spell out the employment terms with the employee and will have provisions for confidentiality and anti-competition.  When try to customize the Employment Agreement state by state because some states have less tolerance for the restrictive covenants than others.  The form you receive will have time and territory printed in the form, but we provide the form in WORD so you can easily change the restriction.
You don’t need the Employment Agreement until you do.  Don’t wait until you wish you hadn’t.
