Ken
Heather asked questions about documenting access to commercial (institutions) customer access and operational control of fire alarm systems in the K&K contracts. You were correct from the contract standpoint, but there is another side as well, documentation from the central station side.
At USA Central Station we have accommodated these customers for many years and our processes have evolved overtime as well. As always it has been a carefully well thought out plan between all three concerned parties, the central station, the end-user and of course the alarm company that is under contract to provide all the services to the end-user. IF the alarm company is not on board, our enhanced services are not available, period.
But with our full suite of end-user access methods the security director or other designated person by the owner with permissions from the alarm company can directly change call lists and put either individual zones or a whole system, or systems on test from any variety of desktops, tablets or smart phones with USA apps. What allows this to occur is the audit trail that is created and preserved within the Stages Operating Platform which was created in tandem here at USA with SGS and now is the platform of choice for today’s central stations that want to be leaders in our industry.

Regarding your response to Heather today, a customer can put a system in and out of test by going online, where they also can add or change responders. Heather didn't write that the customer wouldn't let the CS know, but that they wouldn't need to call the CS.

Q&A fire alarm contract
******************************
  Question
We just purchased a few contracts form you and wanted to confirm that if we are monitoring Burglar and Fire for a multi unit building (employee housing) that we are covered with the all in one?
  Answer
Fire and security are two different contracts.  Best to use both.  We do have the Fire All in One with Security Rider.  If you want to use just one contract then it's the Fire All in One and include security monitoring in the Schedule of Equipment and Services.
    Question
Also we do not install Commercial fire alarms but do monitor them. What contract should we use for that?
     Answer
Commercial All in One
