I was a nuclear weapons tech at the height of our weapons arsenal. My commanding officer called me in to tell me that he wanted to send me to school to become a radiological monitoring instructor. I was to teach a crew how to survive in a shelter after a nuclear attack. I explained that I would do as I was asked but in reality, when I knew the attack was coming, he would find me on the flight line begging God to take me first. I did not want to survive and worry about counting dead bodies or surviving the aftermath. I belong to a veteran’s forum. We get briefings that keep me up at night. There are nine major power generation facilities across the US that are unsecured. The repair and replacement equipment for the locations is not manufactured or stored in the US. They all can be taken out simultaneously. That will destroy the entire electrical grid in the US and with it, the water supply of 90% of all US citizens. The estimate is that the 90% will be dead in six to nine months. As all members of the military, I took an oath to defend the constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. At 20 years old, I did not understand "domestic". I certainly do today for the fools in DC have let 50,000 Chinese military men into this country. When the anarchy begins, the survivors will not be preppers. They will be those that have stock piled guns and ammunition that band together and visit preppers like you and take your food and water. Do not worry. When they arrive, you will not need your preparations any longer. If they really like your set up, they will make it their own.
