automatic renewal provisions: commercial and residential
***********************
Ken,
In your contracts, say for the All in One, is there any language for auto renewal on commercial accounts. I understand on the residential side. Which is there a way to have a check mark for the residential side can there be some type of check box for residential to mark if they agree to a renewal automatically for what ever period of time.

The distinction between commercial and consumer subscriber contracts is important in Illinois, but not every state.  In Illinios the automatic renewal statute is applicable to consumer contracts, not commercial.  Illinois automatic renewal statute is found here: https://www.kirschenbaumesq.com/article/815-ilcs-601-10-automatic-renewal-requirements-2006
You can check your state's automatic renewal law here:  https://www.kirschenbaumesq.com/page/alarm-law-issues
Can't find your state?  That's good news because there isn't a law prohibiting automatic renewal [at least that we have found].
The Standard Form Agreements, including the All in One agreements, provide for a 5 or 10 year term for residential and commercial contracts, respectively.  The contracts also call for automatic renewal on month to month basis.
I think this is the best practice because all state statutes prohibiting or restricting automatic renewal provisions exempt a month to month renewal.  Using the Standard All in One Agreements is the best way to ensure that you comply with current law and future laws that will affect the contract.
Of course you can change the All in One form agreement once you get it.  Adding an automatic renewal for more than month to month requires changing only a few words in the contract.
