Alarm License: (No Changes Required) Connecticut requires an
alarm installer to be licensed as a low voltage
electrical journeyman (classification C6 or L6) or contractor (classification C5
or L5). These licenses are
regulated by the Connecticut Department of Consumer Affairs. For burglar alarm
installation technicians and
combination burglar alarm & telephone installers, C6 is required. For burglar
alarm contractors and
combination burglar alarm & telephone contractors, C5 licensing is required. The
license number should be on
all materials disseminated to potential subscribers as well as the contract.
